Meet our Team
PHYLLIS DEITZ
Phyllis was born and raised in Bryan College Station. She married her best friend and #1 supporter Greg, 17 years ago. Phyllis gets to be a mom to 3 amazing kids. Phyllis started her first business at the age of 15 and started helping small businesses in the Brazos Valley almost 20 years ago. She always says that her Pappy taught her to never quit (something he learned from Paul Bear Bryant as a Junction Boy). Phyllis gets work ethic from both of her parents (who own and operate multiple businesses in the Brazos Valley for the past 43 years). Both things have helped her to have a tenacious spirit to help LOCAL small businesses! Phyllis is a QuickBooks ELITE Pro Advisor, QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified, and QuickBooks Online Payroll Certified.
GREG DEITZ
Greg has been a behind-the-scenes part of the Deitz Consulting team since it began in their house. He has a passion for writing and enjoys the puzzle that is business operations. He has led teams of various sizes for over 20 years, and enjoys developing strategies for success for businesses and their employees. Outside of work, Greg takes pride in being a husband and a father. If there is not a gymnastics meet or horse show, Greg can probably be found watching an Aggie sporting event or working to try to make their land a more peaceful place.
ALICIA JOY HILL
Alicia Joy is a self proclaimed nerd, a boy mom (of 4), and the Operations Manager at Deitz Consulting. With experience in corporate training, team development, and one-on-one coaching, her role is similar to that of a coxswain on a rowing team (steer, empower, strategize, keep the pace). She's a dreamer, a doer, and a dad joke connoisseur. Besides her family, she loves entrepreneurs, teams, cooking, and Aggie football!
ALICIA LOPEZ
Alicia has been with Deitz Consulting since 2020 and has learned so much. She is QuickBooks certified and growing her knowledge in bookkeeping daily. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her granddaughters and socializing with friends.
JESSICA ORR
Jessica is a Bryan/College Station native and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Jessica is organized and attentive to details which allows her to excel in helping with many of the behind the scene operations at Deitz Consulting. Some of Jessica's favorite things to do are spending time with family and friends, taking day trips, and trying new coffee shops.
LAURA GARRETT
Laura was born and raised in Bryan/College Station but departed for a short time to attend the University of Arkansas where she graduated with her degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have one son with another child on the way! Laura is QuickBooks Online Advanced Certified and QuickBooks Desktop 2023 Certified and is passionate about helping her clients through communication and thorough, detail-oriented bookkeeping. Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and hosting friends and family!
LINDSY WILLIAMS
Transitioning back into the workforce after many years as a stay-at-home mom, Lindsy joined the Deitz Consulting team part-time in 2023. She earned her BBA from SHSU (class of '08), majoring in accounting. As a former Accounts Payable accountant in the insurance industry, she's looking forward to rediscovering her passion for number crunching, contributing to a team and having an impact outside of the home. Aside from spending time with her family, Lindsy enjoys exercising, reading and attempting to garden.
MARIA ORTIZ
Maria is a '17 graduate from Texas A&M, where she studied Health and Sociology. She has been expanding her work experience and furthering her education in the field of dentistry. She has enjoyed learning from Phyllis and working with clients as a member of the Deitz Consulting team since 2018. When not juggling work or school, Maria likes to immerse herself in social settings filled with joy and laughter.
PAULA CASTILLO
Paula moved to the BCS area recently from East Texas to be closer to family and “framily” (friends who are now family). She has 25 years experience in the banking industry from Bookkeeping and Customer Service to Mortgage Lending and 20 years experience in the accounting field as an Accounts Payable Specialist. Paula splits her time between working with the wonderful Deitz Team and enjoying retirement. She loves being a part of this youthful group. They help keep her mind and heart young. In her spare time she enjoys hanging with the grandkids, sewing, quilting, and discovering all that BCS has to offer. This area has welcomed her with open arms and she feels blessed to be here.
